DESCRIPTION:After this long and cold winter\, I hope that you are all looking forward to an exciting season on the water. It’s\nthe time of year when we are taking our sanders and paint brushes out of storage and getting ready to prepare\nour boats for the spring launch.\nFor all the sailors out there\, we are planning one long distance race from Salem to Scituate and three shorter\nraces in the Salem Sound this summer. Mark these dates in your calendar:\n● Long Distance Race – Salem to Scituate\, Saturday June 28 followed by a dinner in Scituate. Returning on\nSunday to Salem on a casual return cruise or continuing further down your cruise.\n● Firecracker 500 Race — Saturday July 5th with the traditional 4th of July barbeque at the Club\n● Heritage Days Race — Sunday August 10th followed with an ice cream social\nSWYC.COM Page 5 May 2025 \n● Fall Classic Race — Saturday September 13th with a potluck dinner and award ceremony afterwards at the\nClub.\nYou can already register online for any of these races at:\nhttps://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D48A4AB23A6F4C61-swyc1\nSelect the races you are planning on participating with your sailboat and click the submit button at the bottom\nof the page (one registration per boat).
