DESCRIPTION:(High tide Tues: 11:33a / Wed: 12:08pm) \nOn Tuesday\, July 28th at noon time\, we have our Veterans on the Water event at SWYC. \nThe rain date is Wednesday the 29th. \nFirst of all\, if you are a veteran\, we want you to attend the event. \nIf you have a family member that is a veteran\, please invite them as well. \nThe event is open to local veterans and their caregiver or spouse. \nIf a veteran is coming\, please have them RSVP to me at fharrington@alumni.uml.edu or (978) 335-7724. \nThe event starts at noon time with our Commodore welcoming the Veterans. \nAny Veterans interested in a boat ride are then sent to the floats.  It will be high tide so the gangway will be pretty flat. \nIf a veteran doesn’t want a boat ride\, they will be taken care of on the deck and supplied drinks and snacks. \nAround 2pm\, we will start the BBQ hosted by our Vice Commodore. \nIf you wish to help with that\, reach out to our Vice Commodore\, Elvira at: elvira.schoenthal@gmail.com or (978) 930-9911. \nI am looking for a few more members to volunteer their time and boats to the event also. \nA couple of sailboats would be good\, but the majority of veterans prefer power boats. \nIf you are available\, please RSVP to me with the details of your boat and the number of Veterans you wish to take out. \nFeel free to call me if you have any questions or concerns. \nSpecial thanks to Geoff and Vicki for raising $500 with the Wine in the Willows event to help defray the cost. \nThanks\, \nFrank Harrington \nET1(SS)\, USS Cavalla SSN684\, 1980 to 1986 \nfharrington@alumni.uml.edu \ncell: (978) 335-7724
