DESCRIPTION:A reminder that we are still planning our nautical flea market at the club this Saturday June 10 from 12\, to 3. Currently we have only three of a possible ten tables reserved and one of them is for the club.  \nIf interested in reserving\, please email Lou at quiltedesailor@veriozon.net ASAP. Full details are available in the last Jib Sheet and are repeated below. \nIf you don’t have anything to sell\, stop by and grab some bargains!!!! \nNautical Flea Market June 10\, 12 to 3 \n  \nGot a box of boat parts in your basement? Sold your boat and have boxes of zincs\, cleats\, line\, sailboat hardware taking up your storage area? Need a winch handle and don’t want to spend $70? Our first ever nautical flea market on June 10 from 12 to 3 is for you! \n  \nUsing the regular flea market format we will have ten tables outside available at the ridiculously high price of price of $5/table\, payable at the door. First come first reserved. Reserve your table by emailing Lou at quiltedsailor@verizon.net. A few thigs to consider: \n  \n\nNautical items only\, although nautical outerwear (fowlies\, sea boots\, “like new” SWYC sweatshirts that you outgrew) are acceptable.\nWe will utilize the glass top tables so be prepared to display heavier items on the deck.\nAll items must be lumped in and out using club or personal carts. No vehicles allowed in the park.\nNo heavy items such as engines\, transmissions please.  If you have those items bring pictures for display.\nNo rain date\, if we have to cancel you will have to keep your stuff until next year\nThe club will supply one table per person\, again see restrictions about glass top tables.\nAll sold and unsold items must be removed from the club at the end of the event. No “stories” at the club. There is a potluck supper/game night in the evening.\nMost of the deck will be used for the event but the east veranda and inside tables will be available for general use. Plan accordingly.\n\n  \nSo sellers get your gear together and buyers make a list of what bargains you want and all plan to attend

DESCRIPTION:10th SWYC Summer Solstice Celebration \nSaturday\, 24th of June 2023 \n6:30 PM  \nMidsummer is Scandinavia’s most popular festival right along with Christmas. A traditional celebration of the summer solstice\, Midsummer is the longest day of the year (June 21). The celebration of the summer solstice is a very ancient practice\, dating back to pre-Christian times. \nPlease Join us for this year’s Summer Solstice Party on June 24th at 6:30pm with a culinary feast in our beautiful Club house. This is our 10th anniversary of this event. \nPlease register early since the party usually sells out quickly due to the 60-person limit. \nMENU \nAppetizers \nSmörgås Bord \, with homemade graved and smoked lox\, boiled eggs\, ham and cheese\, charcuterie  style rolls ups\, shrimps served with rye bread and crisp Swedish Wasa bread and many other delicacies.  \nMain course \nChicken Schnitzel with brie cheese topping and lingonberry sauce. Mixed sautéed vegetables (green and yellow squash\, carrots\, onions\, cauliflower) and oven roasted potatoes. \nPork tenderloin “hunter stylet” with mushroom sauce\, baltic style red cabbage with apple slices and spaetzle noodles \nTurkey meatball Baltic style in white wine cream sauce and capers\, steamed Jasmine rice with green peas \nOur special!!
