DESCRIPTION:10th SWYC Summer Solstice Celebration \nSaturday\, 24th of June 2023 \n6:30 PM  \nMidsummer is Scandinavia’s most popular festival right along with Christmas. A traditional celebration of the summer solstice\, Midsummer is the longest day of the year (June 21). The celebration of the summer solstice is a very ancient practice\, dating back to pre-Christian times. \nPlease Join us for this year’s Summer Solstice Party on June 24th at 6:30pm with a culinary feast in our beautiful Club house. This is our 10th anniversary of this event. \nPlease register early since the party usually sells out quickly due to the 60-person limit. \nMENU \nAppetizers \nSmörgås Bord \, with homemade graved and smoked lox\, boiled eggs\, ham and cheese\, charcuterie  style rolls ups\, shrimps served with rye bread and crisp Swedish Wasa bread and many other delicacies.  \nMain course \nChicken Schnitzel with brie cheese topping and lingonberry sauce. Mixed sautéed vegetables (green and yellow squash\, carrots\, onions\, cauliflower) and oven roasted potatoes. \nPork tenderloin “hunter stylet” with mushroom sauce\, baltic style red cabbage with apple slices and spaetzle noodles \nTurkey meatball Baltic style in white wine cream sauce and capers\, steamed Jasmine rice with green peas \nOur special!! Freshly hot smoked whole Atlantic salmon with horseradish sauce \nVegetarian option \nBeyond Meat burger on brioche bun\, tomato\, and avocado with homemade Mayonnaise (for vegetarian only\, please note at the rsvp for special order) \nDessert \nChocolate Mouse with fresh strawberry sauce and freshly whipped cream \nCost is $15 per person\, kids under 12 years are $10\, \nwill be collected before serving \n  \nBeverages \n\nFlavored water with lemon and cucumber\nhomemade Iced Tea\nFresh brewed coffee\nBYOB\n\nSign up by  sending me an email wscholz@comcast.net \nI will confirm your sign up by return email.
