DESCRIPTION:Firecracker 500 Pursuit Race \n  \nCalling all sailors at SWYC! The first of 3 pursuit races\, The Firecracker 500\, is scheduled for Saturday July 3rd at Noon.  Welcome back\, racers! If you are new to racing this is a great way to start.  A pursuit style race has everyone starting at a different time depending on handicap so there are no “starting anxiety” or congestion at the starting line.  We are going to have a great time racing & please stick around for the Welcome Back Hot Dog Social for the awards ceremony & some much needed catching up & camaraderie.  \n  \nIf you would like to register your boat or have any questions\, please email Fleet Captain Jessica Eddy-Storey at  Jessica_Eddy@me.com with your specific boat information needed to get your PHRF rating (handicap) including: \n  \nBoat Type & Size \nBoat Name \nType of prop: Solid\, Folding or Outboard \n  \nExamples:     Catalina 27\, Sea-Renity\, Outboard;  \nPearson 26\, Flying Kestrel\, Folding Prop \n  \nMark your calendar with this season’s race dates: \n  \nFirecracker 500 Race –  Noon  Followed by Hot Dog Bar at 4pm with Award Ceremony for racers \nHeritage Day August 8th –  3pm  Followed by Pizza & Ice Cream Social at 6 with Award Ceremony for racers \nFall Classic Race – September 18th – Noon followed by Racers Pot Luck Supper  & Award Ceremony \n  \nPlease remember to email Elvira at costumediva14@gmail.com to sign up for the Welcome Back Hot Dog Bar & include the number of people attending. $5/pp & children under 3 eat free.  \n  \nPLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. \nEmail Jessica_Eddy@me.com to Register for the race. \nHot Dog Bar \nJuly 3rd      4:00pm (or 1600\, whichever you prefer) \n$5 per person (under 3 – free) \nHot Dogs with Buns (veggie dogs for our vegetarian and vegan members) \nAssorted toppings to include: \nrelish\, ketchup\, onions\, chili\, queso cheese\, pineapple \nsauerkraut\, baked beans\, bacon\, salsa\, tomatoes\, shredded cheese \n(other suggestions are welcome) \nPotato Salad\, Cole Slaw and Macaroni Salad \nSoda and water and chips will be provided. \nBYOB \nAll food will be served via buffet like by masked and gloved volunteers to keep this as comfortable for everyone as possible. \nNeed 4 people to help with set-up and/or cleanup and/or serving \nWhat a great way to work off some of your hours. \nLet me know when you sign up if you would like a veggie dog or two. \nTo sign up – email me at Elvira.Schoenthal@gmail.com.
