The Salem Willows Yacht Club (SWYC) is a family-oriented yacht club located at the historic Salem Willows Park in Salem, Massachusetts. The Club was incorporated in 1933 to encourage the sport of yachting and to maintain suitable facilities for the recreation and use of its members.
In addition to the clubhouse facilities the Club maintains a dock, a launch service, utility tenders and dinghy storage. And in cooperation with the Salem Harbormaster the Club oversees its mooring placements in Salem waters in Beverly Harbor. The Club co-sponsors the Sandy Point Junior Sailing Program with the Jubilee Yacht Club.
The season runs from early May to mid October. A variety of boating and social events occur on behalf of Club members, including:
- Opening and closing chowder parties
- Sailboat races
- Breakfasts, cookouts, pot-luck suppers
- Club-maintenance work parties
- Junior sailing program
- Vessel safety check
- Cruises
- Discounted association memberships and shopping nights.
