After this long and cold winter, I hope that you are all looking forward to an exciting season on the water. It’s
the time of year when we are taking our sanders and paint brushes out of storage and getting ready to prepare
our boats for the spring launch.
For all the sailors out there, we are planning one long distance race from Salem to Scituate and three shorter
races in the Salem Sound this summer. Mark these dates in your calendar:
● Long Distance Race – Salem to Scituate, Saturday June 28 followed by a dinner in Scituate. Returning on
Sunday to Salem on a casual return cruise or continuing further down your cruise.
● Firecracker 500 Race — Saturday July 5th with the traditional 4th of July barbeque at the Club
● Heritage Days Race — Sunday August 10th followed with an ice cream social

● Fall Classic Race — Saturday September 13th with a potluck dinner and award ceremony afterwards at the
Club.

Select the races you are planning on participating with your sailboat and click the submit button at the bottom
of the page (one registration per boat). On the next page, it will ask you for your name, phone, email and boat
information. We will send more detailed information about each race to those who sign up when we get closer
to the dates. (Note that the social events will require a separate sign up).
