Letter From the Desk of The Commodore,
Welcome back, members of the Salem Willows Yacht Club! I hope that the new year finds you well. It is very nearly time to get to work on our boats again and open the Club for the 2022 boating season.
While unfortunately, we had to postpone the Commodore’s Ball once again due to the continued threat of Covid, the virus does appear to be fading away. (And good riddance!)
With that in mind, we are beginning to plan this season’s events, including the resumption of the annual Invasion. SWYC will be hosting the South Shore Yacht Club this year. We look forward to welcoming our boating family back once again for this highly anticipated event. It should be a great time for all participants.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new members for the 2022 season.
Dean Marchetti | Michael Dean | Brendan Carroll | Petter Roosvall | Sydney Dole |
Rayna Fontaine | Paul Trow | Larry Ridge | Connor Walsh |
The Salem Willows Yacht Club is a great organization, and it is my sincere hope that you can enjoy the Club and all that it has to offer.
I want to extend thanks and appreciation to all the Flag Officers, the Board of Governors, and the various committees who work so diligently to make our Club successful.
Our Flag Officers are:
Commodore Scott Hiltunen | Vice-Commodore Richard McGlynn | Rear Commodore Frank Harrington | |
Treasurer Joe Collins | Financial Secretary Leigh Baines | Secretary Bob Chadwick | Fleet Captain Jessica Eddy-Storey |
Work parties will be starting soon and those who participate in these events will be able to work off a portion of their membership dues. Times and dates for work parties can be found in e-mails that will be sent out on the Club’s website very soon.
Stay well! I hope to see you at the Club in the very near future.
Thank You!
Scott Hiltunen
Commodore
