Summer SailingProgramsby Sail Salem Salem, Mass.,February10,2025—Sail Salem is again providing summer sailing camps for youths ages 8 to 18; andAdultLearn–to–Sail Programs. Each Youth Program runs one week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM, and is based on Winter Island with its access to Salem Harbor. The programs include on–shore sailing instruction, on–the– water sailing under the guidance of certified sailing instructors, and an on–land STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, Mathematics) curriculum.Younger sailors learn in Opti sailboats while older youth sail in 420s and Sonars.Thesesailing camps begin the week of June 23and extend through August 22.Tuition is $320 per one–week session with a maximum registration of two weeks per student. Financialassistance may be available based upon confirmation of financial need. The Adult Learn–to–Sail program is designed for people who want to learn the joys of sailing in Salem Harbor but who have little to no sailing experience. Classes are limited to 6 students per session, and will meet in the late afternoon, once a week, for5 weeks during the summer. Classes are usually fully subscribed, so early registration is recommended.Program details and online registration may be found on the Sail Salem Web site,sailsalem.org.
